Manor Primary School

Treehouse (Resource Provision)

Welcome to the Treehouse. In the Treehouse we have lots of lovely adults that help us: Mrs New, Miss Phillips, Mrs Nurse and Mrs Sparks.

The staff in Treehouse ensure that they provide the best learning opportunities so that children can become successful in all that they do, confident in their own abilities and responsible citizens that contribute positively to society.

We aim to enable our pupils to access their own mainstream classes at their own pace, as part of their individual transition plans. Further socialisation is encouraged through helping class members to join with their peers at morning and lunch playtimes as well as on year group class trips.

In the Treehouse, we are a friendly team who work together and enjoy what we do. We love to take on new and exciting challenges. In the Treehouse we know how important it is to use our manners and be respectful to others. We help each other when we can and are known for being kind and polite. We follow our school rules of Be kind, be caring, be successful, together!

Curriculum

We have many exciting topics in the Treehouse and our curriculum is personalised to each individual learner. We love going outside and learning through play. We are very lucky to have our own outdoor area where we have lots of opportunities to learn.

Throughout the school day, we have lots of wonderful activities planned which focus on developing not only our academic abilities but our social, emotional and sensory regulation. We provide lots of hands on learning opportunities and sensory experiences and we plan to enhance our curriculum topics with lots of trips and visits throughout the year.

Physical Development

Our outdoor provision and daily sensory circuit are very important to our pupils. We continue to use these throughout the day on a daily basis. We use the hall to carry put physical activities and practice physical skills to build confidence and independence.

Reading

In the Treehouse we love reading. We are encouraged to read every day with the adults and have timetabled sessions where we are able to read books that interest us either from our class reading corner or the school library. Throughout the year, we will have the opportunity to read lots of different books in our English lessons.
